BEWARE OF UNQUALIFIED PERSONS/QUACKS WHO ARE ILLEGALLY FITTING ARTIFICIAL LIMBS
The fitment of Artificial Limbs and Orthotic supports are highly specialised professional job, to be handled by qualified Rehabilitation Professionals. Only those persons who are Registered/certified by Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) as Rehabilitation Professionals in Prosthetics & Orthotics can provide artificial limbs to the disabled patients.
RCI has issued Statutory warnings that unqualified persons/quacks cannot serve disabled persons, who are being exploited by these unauthorized, unprofessional and unscruplous persons to illegally mint money by selling high cost artificial limbs. Great harm is being done to disabled persons and it is dangerous and hazardous for them to be left in the unsafe hands of unqualified persons.
Action will be taken against Unqualified Persons Illegally Serving Disabled Persons, as they liable to be prosecuted under section 13 of RCI Act.
Disabled Persons have the right to be Served by Qualified Rehabilitation Professionals
